Historical records from the New Kingdom show that in Egyptian culture the sphinx symbolized royalty and sacred status.

Moez Street today is a mix of medieval mosques and buildings alongside modern vendors and shops in an Old Cairo neighborhood, it runs from the city gate of Bab al-Futuh in the north to the gate of Bab Zuweila in the south, both entrances in the stone walls ,This makes it one of the longest streets in the walled city in the 11th century.

Saqqara is the largest archaeological site in the country ,Nearby the Teti Pyramid is the most famous pyramid in Saqqara, the pyramid of Djoser, which dates back to 2700 BC and is known as the Step Pyramid because it was built with steps instead of smooth sides like the Pyramids in Giza.
